Revised August 14, 2026
Accessibility
A site belonging to a contractor that talks about accessible openings for a living ought to be usable itself. Here is where that stands, honestly.
The standard aimed at here
WCAG 2.1 Level AA, treated as a working target rather than a certified claim.
- Text and interface colours were contrast-checked rather than eyeballed. Body text runs at better than 7:1 against its background and no combination on the site falls below AA.
- Headings run in order and are used for structure, not for size.
- Every image carries alternative text describing what it shows.
- The site works from the keyboard, and focus is visible when you get there.
- Nothing moves, auto-plays, flashes or takes over the viewport.
- The phone number is a real link that a screen reader announces as a telephone number and a phone will dial.
Known limitations
Tables on the service pages carry several columns and will need horizontal scrolling on a narrow screen. It is a real limitation and the alternative — dropping the columns — would lose information that matters more.
Reporting a problem
If something here does not work with your setup, call (984) 253-8579 and describe it. It gets fixed if it can be fixed, and you get told plainly if it cannot.
A note on the difference
Website accessibility and physical accessibility are separate subjects that share a word. Nothing on this page is a statement about the accessibility of any building or opening. The pages that discuss opening force and clear width discuss the published standards, and they are not an audit of your door.
Raising something on this page
Anything on this page can be raised with Charlotte Commercial Door Service on (984) 253-8579. There is no form here and no address to write to; the phone is the channel.
Charlotte Commercial Door Service trades as a commercial door and hardware contractor in Charlotte, North Carolina, under independent ownership, and publishes this site at charlottecommercialdoorservice.net.
