Terms & Conditions

About this site

charlottecommercialdoorservice.net belongs to Charlotte Commercial Door Service, a commercial door and hardware contractor under independent ownership working in Charlotte, North Carolina. No page on it constitutes an offer that could be accepted, and reading it forms no contract with anyone.

Quotations and scope

Nothing on this site is a price and no figure appears anywhere on it. Where a figure is given, it is given for a described opening after that opening has been discussed or seen, and it holds against that scope.

• A figure given from a description assumes the description is accurate.
• Scope changes when the opening turns out to differ from what was described, which is common and not held against anyone.
• Where an assembly is discovered to be fire-rated, the permitted work narrows and the scope is revised before proceeding.
• Parts subject to lead time are identified as such at the point of quoting.

Accuracy of the technical information here

The standards and code references on this site were checked against published sources before being written and are believed accurate as at the date shown. Standards get revised, local amendments exist, and your authority having jurisdiction may interpret differently from the general position described here.

Nothing on this site is a compliance determination for your building. A page describing a clearance limit is not a statement that your door meets or fails it.

Not professional advice

This site is general trade information. It is not an engineering opinion, a legal opinion, a code determination or an accessibility audit. Where you need one of those, the person to ask is a professional who can take responsibility for your specific building.

Links and governing law

Where this site refers to a standards body or a published standard, that reference is for identification. We do not control those publications and we are not responsible for what they contain or where they move to.

North Carolina law governs these terms.
